Just outta curiosity, how did they drag race on the deck?!? I mean I know they're loooong ships - I was in VA Beach for a homecoming of the Enterprise - but they're not THAT long...

We actually didn't do full on 1/4 mile drag racing, but staged burnouts from mid deck. ( A little less than 1/8 mile). I must say, I did get a little anxious, not knowing what the car would do. I was more worried about hitting the side rail than going off the end! No worries since it was straight arrow. Actually hooked up really well, expecially on the bumpy surface designed to displace water for the jets.
