You should have patented the radio, Phil

The first 2 pictures were taken November 1972.  The 'Cuda's 1st bath.

Notice the 1971 license plate with a '72 tag on the rear lower right corner.  I still have that plate.

1973 required new plates and I got my initials on the plate by going to the SOS (secretary of state) branch that was selling that letter combo.  I only wish I had waited long enough to get the number 340.  But being 18, I wasn't really thinking that far into the future.

My 'Cuda currently wears its original 1973 plate.

Third and 4th pictures are from March 1973 when I bought the new plates.  Notice the snow.   :scared:

My car circa 1978. Stripes had already faded to white by then.

From 1987, I think. Me pulling the second 318 I had in the car.

In the background is the restoration shop where I had my car for about a year after this. The guy who owned the place had been part of DeLorean's engineering team. They did great work, sometimes amazing work. I had set up with him to work on my car when things were otherwise slow, thinking that I could then pay in monthly blocks that were pretty small. At one point his wife took over the accounting, and while I'm not sure what really happened, I think she started charging me a "parking fee." Like a downtown New York City Parking Fee. In any event, after she hit the place, there was practically no work being done but my bills jumped through the roof. Car left them shortly thereafter.

Great photo's and stories.

I don't have any pictures of me by any of my cars because I'm too bashful.
My 1st car was a 77 Camaro with a 6 banger ( cheap insurance ) and sold it 2 years later for a 72 Cuda 340.
I butchered it by installing a 71 cuda grill and modern headlights.  I also stuck fuzzy fur all over the dash and interior panels.  Sold it in 1985 for $3,000 to help pay for my current car.
You can call me RAY or RAYMOND or RAZOR or THE ZOR!
