« on: February 24, 2008 - 09:29:50 AM »
Chrysler put out a high performance manual at some time, according to references in other performance material that I have have read. Does anyone know the title and where it may be purchased? thanks

I have what I think you are talking about. Way back when, it was called the Mopar bible. over 400 pages , 2 inches thick and it was white. I have it in Louisiana. It had everything in it. At one time, you could get seperate sections of the book. Like chassis building, engine building, cast numbers, how to build every engine they made, listed all the performance cams, speed trick, Articles on the ball stud hemi, endless info. Mine is old and turned tan and yellow and well used. I have never seen another one forsale.

This is a link to the 9th edition.  It is probably available at your dealer too.  I have copies of several of the earlier editions.  It is a worth while read IMHO.  This is not my auction, and I don't have any copies for sale, but If I were you I would get a copy and look through it. :2cents:

The engine manual has been subdivided by families into many smaller manuals. It no longer is the huge, 2" thick book that it once was. These should still be available from any Dodge dealer

P4876824 Hemi engines
P4876825 B/RB engines
P4876826 Small block engines
P4876827 Six cylinder engines
P5007373 358 Oval track engine
P5007450 Late model oval track engine
P5007520 Sprint car engines
P5007250 Crate motor installations
P5249959 Oval track modification manual
P5007160 Chassis manual

Wow Mancini has it for $10!  I paid twice that 25 years ago.
Thanks Bullitt - i will have to get a 9th edition too for that price.

None of those links even comes close to the one I have. It is older and bigger.  Like I said, it is tough to find the book I have. I wish I had it here with me to take a picture for everyone.
