Wanted: Ebody Console Door Catch and Button Assy
« on: February 24, 2008 - 09:56:27 PM »
Looking for one of these console latches for my car, hopefully cut down on rattles  :pullinghair:. And also the actual button itself that goes into the lid.  Had to steal this one from Dad's car to get a picture. If anyone has one around please pm or email

Thanks!!

I have the locking button, although the lock doesn't work (don't have the key, so I'm not 100% on that), but the button works.  You're welcome to it if you want it, Mike.

Read this on another site:

70-74 E-body console latches are the same as a mid-late 70's Dodge Truck or Van glove box latch.

The glove box lock on a 72 to 80 truck will fit the console of an E-body.

Gotta start looking in junkyards.

Hmmm that is interesting...have to check that out.

Mike, I have one of the latches.  PM me your address and I will mail it out to you.

Why don't you just give your dad a few wire ties, and call it a day   :grinyes:
