« on: February 25, 2008 - 02:55:12 PM »
Hmmmmm, here's a shot of Obama the 2008 presidential candidate in 2006 seeing if it fits  :scared: draw your own conclusions about who is funding the run?
Any thoughts? :thinkerg:

I think this photo is just him participating in a ceremony in Africa.  As much as I'd like it to be some Taliban, Al Queda link, just ain't so.

Correct - This was a ceremony in Somalia, and he was accepting a gift of the local wear.
So that means that Somalia is funding his campaign?  Umm...I don't think so.  Or was this another attempt to make people think Obama is Muslim, when he is not?

But I do wish that politicians would not pose for such photos.  To me, it often looks like they are trying to 'fit in' somewhere they really don't.

I can't believe the crap people will say about candidates they don't like. I guess they think that Obama sounds similiar to Osama, so he must be a muslim. What a joke. Grow up.

Oh, I don't think any of the 3 are that bad.  I just don't like to see people imply something that doesn't exist, or use religion to try to divide people.

We have to vote for someone, it's our right, but also our obligation. But this is going to be the toughest decision at the polls in all my years of voting. Sad strange situation as far as I'm concerned.  :dunno:

I thought he was muslim? It doesnt even matter to me what religion he is, I will NEVER vote for a man who does not   respect this country enough to put his hand over his heart during something as simple as the pledge of allegiance. He has no experience, he is a great speaker/promisemaker, period. This country is so eager to move away from the Bush administration that it looks to be running headlong into a bigger mess than before. I dont like any of the candidates to tell the truth.

Out of eight people in our office today six comments were about funding the other two could care less, not one person brought up religion.
...interesting.
