Well, I could't help myself. I had to write back again. This time I asked where the T/A engine, stripes, spoilers, exhause, etc, are. After all, these are the things that make a T/A a T/A.

Ok guys, I have had about as much as I can take.  Eventhough this may be a stupid question I must ask:  well does there exist a WSS?TA or not?  Please enlighten me.

Here's my next question to him and his response...

I'm not trying to pick a fight with you, I'm just trying to understand what you're trying to say. If the car is a real T/A, where is the T/A engine? Where is the T/A exhaust? Where are the T/A stripes and spoilers? Where is the T/A hood? Where is the T/A fender tag? These are the things that make a T/A a T/A. Nothing on that fender tag says it's a T/A. It just shows it as a 383 2 barrel car. T/A's and AAR's had 340 engines.

THAT WHAT MAKES A WSS TO RARE.!! DID YOU LOOK INTO THAT SIGHT. IT DOES HAVE THE T/A DASH SADDLE COLLER THE TACK, DRESS UP FOOT PEDDLES ONLY FOUND ON T/A'S AS FOR THE REST WSS WAS MADE LIKE THAT. NO ONE REALLY CAN SAY WHY. DON SQUIRES

This is from one of the sites that he lists for proof the his car is what he says it is. Look under "Myths".

Dodge Challenger Western Sport Special (1970)JS23
The Western Sport Special was a $199.50 option availible in the order books shortly after the Challenger's launch in August, 1969. It was a regionally-unique option to the Los Angeles and San Francisco areas. It was mostly an apprearance package available on the Challenger Highline (JH23) Models.

The WSS package consisted of a vinyl top, Western Sport Special decals on the rear quarter, a woodgrain applique, rim-blow wheel, sill and belt mouldings, the astrotone applique above the rear taillights, front splash pan scoop, cowl moulding, pedal-dress up kit, bumper guards, a driver's side remote control mirror, and 14" Rallye wheels with F78x14 Polyglas tires. The option code was A91 on the fender tag.

Production numbers are as follows:
225 Slant Six 145
318 2-V 1,066
340 4-V 1*
383-2V 381

This guy obviously doesn't know what he is talking about and there is nothing anyone can tell him to make him change is mind, except for maybe Barry, but I doubt he would believe Barry either since Galen said.

I have never seen a t/a with a single exhaust.  I'll keep my m46, I'm willing to bet it's more rare.

Somone has been emailing me about this car, different first name, same last name.

Any WSS T/A is a mythical beast.

Apparently he picks and chooses what questions to post.  Think that latest one is a ringer?

I'd venture to say they both are.
