2 RR N96 cars!
« on: February 27, 2008 - 06:52:23 PM »
Hey Guys, I went with my brother today to look at a 70 340 4spd swinger and the guy had these 2 cars sitting beside his building. Both cars are real N96 air grabber cars. The 71 has a second tag on the passenger fender that I have never heard of. Both cars now have 440's, the 70 has a 6pack on it. Both are 4spd cars. The 70 is definately in better shape but the 71 would make some nice car restored. The 70 has a Dana, but don't think its original.

These cars are for sale, green one is 14K canadian, 70 car he wants 25K. Package deal may be a better deal.

I attached some pics. Funny thing is he wants 15K for the 70 swinger, and its missing fender tag. Both cars have original quarters but definately some bondo.

Anyone really interested let me know, the cars are in middle of nowhere outside of Calgary.   :2thumbs:

Haha, yeah I agree, didn't figure anyone would be interested unless they turned out to be super rare. I'm still curious to see what the tag on the 71 means.

Must be one of those guys that watches the BJ auctions, and then thinks that his rust buckets are worth a fortune.

The guy is a used car salesman...go figure...LOL.  And I never claimed they were any sort of a "deal", just figured i'd let you guys know they were available incase anyone was interested, of if they ended up being somewhat rare.  :2thumbs:

Can someone decode that '71?  I'd trade my car for it, maybe.  You rarely see a '71 air grabber...   :grinyes:

So what do you think is a realistic price for the 70 as it sits ?
Just curious as I am looking for one myself , good 70 RR projects are hard to find.

Realistic price for the 70 model (and its just my opinion and that doesnt count for much) is $13 to $16k.   You still have plenty money to spend on the thing.   The seller wants to sell his car for what would be considered a #2 plus condition.

:iagree:  Anyone have any idea?  :clueless:

That '71 is way cool with the Air Grabber setup.  I agree with Steve on that one.

I wonder what just the Air Grabber setups for each of those cars go for separately?  I bet  :money:  :money:

I think that means this is the third car down that production line.   Could be  a pilot car.  Windsor's pilot car that is.  Could very well be the first one like this and the first rammed could be a cuda and the second ramed could be a challenger.  Early build car any way.  I suspect a pilot car.  Don't see too many 383 with the N96 that's for sure.  The tag probably means that they were trying to use that car for proper build quality on the satellite line.  This one is the one they used as a model for their build times and their quality control.  This is what I have come up with but I will look further to see exactly what it is.   Maybe a price pool car.

Looks like windsor didn't do cuda's or dusters.  According to the book I am using right now.  Probably find more info later.
