Great news Jeff.  I have been in your shoes before.  We all need a nudge sometimes to try a new path in life.  The way it sounds you will do just great in any job you take.  Good luck.   :2thumbs:

I GOT THE JOB!!!

He... Andy... ...my new boss...  called me this evening about 5 - he was returning my call which was to let him know I had submitted my background screening.  He then told me he talked to his boss and got approval to start me at a GREAT rate...  Let's just say that the BASE pay is MORE than I made at Goodyear (like $3,800 more!), and the commision is good for at LEAST $9,000 a year more!!!  No exaggeration - he gave me solid numbers to back it up.  The thing is, I'm walking into a store that's already successful.  I don't need to FIX it - just need to keep the momentum rolling.

I might start as soon as Friday, training at a local store.  The only bummer is that I'm probably going to be assigned to the York store - 30 minute drive from home everyday.  But for the money, I think it'll be worth it.  Heck the job will pay enough to pick up a beater 4 cylinder if I want.

I DID IT!  But to be honest, it doesn't feel as good as hitting 1,000 posts.  :)  HAHAH!

Thanks for all the support, everyone.  You guys are great friends.

And MEK, I look forward to making your food at Carlisle this year.  ;)  I already gave notice that I need the weekend off - he said he'd probably see me there anyways!

Jeff
