Man, that steak looks good. Looks like a little Montreal Steak seasoning?? Hey Al, if you were my neighbor, I'd have you over and cook you a Ribeye on the grill with some baked potatoes and corn on the cob. Then we could sit around and talk trash & tell tall tales. I am sure there would be some interesting talk!!  :smilielol: :smilielol: :smilielol:

Happy Birthday big guy
One day soon we will sit and talk and eat.It just started to snow here D-ANG-it.

:eek2:  it hit 84 here today out in the desert :2thumbs:  makes working easier. I cant wait to meet you to Doug, I get jobs up that way, but have declined them for the last year or better. The traffic sucks, but the people are great there. Or atleast the ones I meet

A 30 lb light fell 25' and landed on my hand shoulder and back, my hand pinched between steel and the lights sharp edges. I had to re set my dis located shoulder right there at the accident. The shame is, my company will not let me go back to that mine, and I really loved to work with the guys there. I think work was mad because I paid for the injury at the er room myself and went back to work and the plant wouldnt pick up the tab for the bill. They said the light was over 30 yrs old and it was not their fault. I wasnt going to, and didnt sue anyone, but will have a disability for good.

Oh I got some good stories working all over the country.

It would be neat for a group of us to make plans and all show up to enjoy a day , then cut up and work on the personsons car where we end up. Or just go cruisin if all is good.

I wish more of the people were closer too. But I do have a nice group of muscle car people that go to shows together. In the winter we help each other out on our cars. But I'm the only one with an e-body. :walkaway:

Did you have a good time in Australia ntstlg1970.
Absolutely, next time we can make it there, we plan to have longer than 7 days to look around. We have relatives who live just outside Sydney. We also went to New Zealand on the same trip so it was a little hectic.

Heal up quick. It sounds like a very painful injury. I dislocated my elbow once, and that hurt so I can really sympathize. It would be cool if members were closer. It would be nice to go out and cruise once in a while with fellow mopar guys. And have a couple of beers and some BBQ.

Happy birthday Alan!

If I ever find myself in Cullman, Alabama, with time to spare, I'd be very happy if I got to spend some of that with you.
Not very likely at this time, but then again, I never thought I'd spend two years in Aghanistan. So everything is really possible as I see it.  :D

Hope you heal up good! I do understand that your employers wouldn't let you go back there, since the plant let electrical fixtures rain down on you, and didn't take the responsibillity for the injuries.
Though, it sounds a bit weird that the plant claimed not to be responsible for their own electrical fixture...? ???
Can they really claim that and get away with it? Not that I'm going to encourage you to sue or anything, I'm just curious.
After all, USA is known for tort lawsuits.
In Norway, the owner of the electrical system, with all fixtures, cables, fuses...  ...everything from the leading-in fuse to the ground, is responsible for keeping it safe. And if a part of a building breaks off, and injures someone, the owner is liable.

Well, enough of that, and more about something else.
Barbeque is always goooooood!
But I would've liked to treat you to fresh cod from Lofoten, with liver, hard roe, and a special variety of potatoes that I can't find a english name for (Looks like this).

So do I. But out of the 7 norwegian members, widing'cuda and Baby Elephant are close to where I live. :)

Hey Alan,

When I get back next year we will have to get together.  Well with what you are doing for me I know we will.  May have another request or two while I am gone.  We will have to see on that one.  My goal is to restore my car when I get back.  Gordon
Got a pretty good start on my M46 optioned Barracuda restoration but now it is on hold till I can gather more funds.  Still need a few parts for it.  SIU Graduate 75 AAS Automotive Tech, 94 BS Advanced Tech Studies, 1997 MSED Workforce Education and Development
