Happy birthday Alan!
If I ever find myself in Cullman, Alabama, with time to spare, I'd be very happy if I got to spend some of that with you.
Not very likely at this time, but then again, I never thought I'd spend two years in Aghanistan. So everything is really possible as I see it.
Hope you heal up good! I do understand that your employers wouldn't let you go back there, since the plant let electrical fixtures rain down on you, and didn't take the responsibillity for the injuries.
Though, it sounds a bit weird that the plant claimed not to be responsible for their own electrical fixture...?
Can they really claim that and get away with it? Not that I'm going to encourage you to sue or anything, I'm just curious.
After all, USA is known for tort lawsuits.
In Norway, the owner of the electrical system, with all fixtures, cables, fuses... ...everything from the leading-in fuse to the ground, is responsible for keeping it safe. And if a part of a building breaks off, and injures someone, the owner is liable.
Well, enough of that, and more about something else.
Barbeque is always goooooood!
But I would've liked to treat you to fresh cod from Lofoten, with liver, hard roe, and a special variety of potatoes that I can't find a english name for (Looks like
this).
I wish more of the people were closer too. But I do have a nice group of muscle car people that go to shows together. In the winter we help each other out on our cars. But I'm the only one with an e-body.
So do I. But out of the 7 norwegian members, widing'cuda and Baby Elephant are close to where I live.
