The bow through the middle is not that hard to fix, i wish i was over near some of you guys to help out sometimes.  It is amazing what a little bit of time amd some wood and a decent blow with a hammer will do.

And i am talking about the hood repairs. :smilielol:

It may even help me start thinking clear and remember more if the hammer is big enough :smilielol:

sleepychallenger, glad you took it on the chin ok :2thumbs:  I am looking for you a hood now at a bargain price. Did this post help vent out any anger? I hope so. Letting it out in the open lets the healing begin inside. If you have to vent again....I'm all ears, but may have a knot on my hammer head thanks to Ken

Hey Sleepy.........Read all the posts and I agree that you needed to vent.  But I have heard stories of even new sheepmetal that has to be tweaked to fit.  I believe that just about all the cars from that era were a little different from each other.  Sort of like fingerprints. Now with all the computer tech etc, they are making smaller gaps and all and everything fits so close, (unless it is a Monday morning), that we expect  what we do to come out the same.  I just adjusted the passenger door striker.  You wouldn't believe what 1/8" movement does to align the door and make such a different sound when closing.  Anyway.......we all need to vent sometimes and it does help.
