    You know, I've ridden in the back of As, Bs, and Fs, and Mustang/Camaros (es?) and have always thought of the rear seat was an afterthought.  Granted the B Bodies aren't THAT bad but there is room for improvement (enter the R or C bodies).  and I'm not that large (5' 9")

    Ken, when you get the pics you get them, I'm taking my sweet time because I really don't want to screw up here.  It took me the better part of a month to do the floor pan myself and I probably could've saved time by going slower and being really critical of "close enough".  I made the reinforcement plates today, and tommorow I'm going to notch the 2x3s like AutoRust's 2x2s.  Seeing that pic showed me that if I don't I'll probably be more intruding than they were, and that is about how much I want to cut in...

    Here are the 2x3 in my F body. They intrude a fair amount, but if you building a competition bar/cage, you also are going to have supporting tubes as well as the cross bar that are going to make the rear seat pretty useless to the point that a subframe connector intrusion is a minor issue.

    for all the guys with the through the floor subframe connectors...i am just curious how does the carpet fit? i am considering the through the floor but also have a pair of the laser cut ones to consider also.

    I've welded several pairs of these through the floor. I don't see how it affects the rear seat at all(?) The carpet of course will have lumps where the tubes are, or I suppose you can stuff padding in on the sides to raise the floor to be level with the connectors.

    The real benefit of these is that you then have a solid structure to weld the rollbar too.

    umm... well, the weather started warming up and i got distracted by other projects.  My car is in off-site storage for a while.  Hoping to have some REAL time to work on it this winter again, as my 300 really is too large to work on inside...

    Here's how mine came out.  The other 2x3 connects the subframe connector to the rocker panel.  I plan on filling in the area around the subframe connector with heat insulation to make them less noticeable.
