Black, that's why I was asking, wanted to kind of get a feel for what a burnt orange car would look like with a black vinyl top

Nice, to me it looks like it depends on the lighting whether or not the burnt orange looks brown  :( or more of a candy apple red  :)

either way I guess it doesn't really matter, that's what the fender tag says, and that's the color it gets painted when it gets restored

yes and no. the front of my car is darker than the rear because of the hit and run. the rear of the car is painted with a different kind of paint and no clear coat. really erks me because i told him to try and use the same thing and he didnt.  :villagers: that is probably my biggest complaint with the car because it is something that i can not fix myself and its not a cheap fix either. i can do the mechanical, but not body work or especially paint.  :banghead:

Man, that sucks! I'd go back - which I did when my black car hit a deer - a total of five times to get the shading and pinstriping right. That's what you pay for!

yea, but when he did it, it took me about 3 months to notice cause either the rear of the car was in the shade or because i am color deficiant so until i actually saw it, i couldnt see it. hope that makes sense. and then after 3 months i didnt feel right going back. now we are a year later so i am just going to wait till i have the money to get her painted, the rust on the roof fixed, and a new vinyl top put on. oh well.

but back to yours!!!

:woo: :clapping:  :woohoo:  Looks great!!  And sounds great.  Videos like this inspire me to keep going instead of selling mine and buying a small block Dart or Duster.

Sent the car off to the body shop again today - going to get windshield/rear window installed, grille painted and installed, front end aligned and adjust any body parts that aren't lined up right. Of course, the weather called for showers later in the day and as soon as we hit the road it poured! Fortunately we didn't have to stop much so the interior stayed pretty dry. Very nerve-racking!!
