Chryco is right. The "true" cop wheels weren't slotted, but these look plenty mean ;) I guess it all depends on how original you want the wheels to be. If it were me, I wouldn't hesitate to go for these. The bidding right now looks good. I wish you luck NZ.

I won't be able to autcion on the e-Bay rims but it's good to know they pop up on there.

So which one is the cop wheels? The blue Cuda or the e-bay auction rims? Slotted how can you tell? Were those the holes in the hub cap.  :D

Cheers  ;)

NZ,
The blue Cuda would be correct. I've never seen the ones on E-bay before. As for the slots, the black area around the small hub cap have slots on the wheels on E-bay(an open area). That wasn't the way they came off the assembly line.

Thanks Mike, I see what you mean now duh  ::) lol!!  ;D

I always thought thats how they all came, I even thought the rims in the photo had them but you just couldn't tell.  :D

So I want to find smooth black rims, NO holes.

I want my set up like this guys (blue Cuda): 15x8 Rear, 15x7 Front  ;D

What size do you think he has on fornt and rear? 235? 245? that's how I can usually work my tyres out.

Thanks for the help.

If that's the case, then where did the slotted wheels come from? I've got a set that are slotted and are Mopar factory wheels. I don't know what they originally came from because I got them off of a Dodge pickup at the local salvage yard. I've always heard them called cop rims. Funny thing is, we had Volare cop cars in the department back in the 80's but I can't for the life of me remember if they had slotted wheels or not. I do remember the 360's in those cars were fast! ;D

15x10 at the back, would that look waaay out of place, like sticking out the fenders real ugly like?  ???  :-\

Do you think 15x8 all around is silly? Or is that much up front wasted and adding unwanted weight up there?

At the moment I have 245/15x8 all around and it looks great but I'm thinking 15x7 up front.

Any photos of a 15x10 rear & 15x7 front?  :D

Hey Chryco, I checked those places out but they only have slotted rims, I like the none slotted now. Any links or connections in the tyre world?  :D

Gosh Guys,
I'm scratching my head here. A friend of mine had a late 70's St.Regis that was an "ex" Police car. It had the non-slotted rims. They had a section of "ex" Police cars at Carlisle last year, but I didn't pay much attention to them. I WILL this year ;) Is it possible that Ma Mopar had one set of wheels for a period of time, then the other set? Kind of like them having minor changes to the center cap on the Rally wheels. Or maybe the "real" Police had one set, and the general public could get the others???  ???

http://www.stocktonwheel.com/oem_wheels.htm  ;D Bottom Left.

Thanks CP, I've managed to find some, they have no slots and he said they will be professionally powdercoated in black just like the Cuda which I attached to the email I sent to them.  :D
