    More oil lets it run even cooler, the cooler the better with larger stalls over heating easier. Ground clearance isnt an issue, not even close

    Speaking of Summit, Did anybody use the Summit dual plane small block intake SUM-226042 for $179.95. A little bit cheaper that Eldebrock's version of the air-gap by about $70.00...

    I agree with the ground clearance thing, I think my headers will still be lower than the pan. and its really only like twice as deep. Its not like a moroso oil pan.

    Its really only adding a quart, ground clearance added is minimal

    I'm switching to a Dynamic 9.5" converter which will generate more heat so the extra fluid should help in addition to my external cooler. Not worried about ground clearance.

    The Mopar deep pan is a VERY good set up. It will rust without some kind of paint,if you paint it anything,make sure you wipe it off with some lacquer thinner or something because they are coated with an oil to prevent rust. The 727 and 904 pan was close to the same price till last year,I don't know why they went up so much,like said already,it doesn't cost any more to make one or the other.

    Billet aluminum pick up was a BIG improvement over the previous steel one. :grinyes:

    If you get chrome,sand the gasket surface with a dual action sander.

    Rigid rubber pan gasket part number is 2464324ac

    Ground clearance is not a problem.

    I was debating on those two last year,low and behold,Summit put the Edel. air gap on sale for $20.00 more than their brand so I got the Edel. air gap.

    I'd also stick with one of the few american made brands, edelbrock has had some great products for our engines in their time.

    Just thought id let everyone know, I finally got off my Arse and ordered my deep pan from the dealership. Its $50 for those who know someone at the parts counter.....  ;)

    The Dealers were out of stock in my area. Hopefully they got some more in because I like to keep two or three in stock on my shelves.  :thumbsup:

    That is a cheaper price for a pan,the pick up extension for the filter is NOT included though. :walkaway:
