the overhead console has clips identical to those on the door panels. I think I used the existing slots in the forward member and located it's fwd and aft position using the console itself.

hmm.  it looks like the only piece im missing is the L bracket

It's pretty important as it stablizes the front opening for the dome light. This is where the dome light snaps in place. Wouldnt want to accidentally pull the headliner down while pulling on the dome light fixture.    :faint:

You could probably make something similar easy enough.  :clueless:

to where does this bracket attach to the car,  im sure it wouldnt be that hard to fab....

the vertical leg attaches to the existing domelight support. I'd have to pull my dome light down to refresh my memory. Maybe some of the Gran Coupe or SE owners already have a pic of the bracket installed?

That lamp sure looks like the one in our old '69 Custom Suburban wagon.  Its been a long time so I'm not certain, but its very similar.
