....and it only took 15 years!!
« on: March 04, 2008 - 03:21:49 PM »
I guess I am officially a newbie.  Here's my baby....a '70 CUDA.  Bought the car when I was 15 with a 3 speed slant six. Had a 340, 4 speed in it before I turned 16.  Parked it when I was 18 and didn't touch it again till I was 30. By then there wan't much left but rust and mice nests.  The project started with a 1-2 year schedule to build a 12 second street car.   Well...15 years and 2 more parts cars later, I have a 600HP stroked small block, Jerico 4 speed, 14 point cage, 10 second toy.  I have only driven around the block a couple of times with no hood and open headers.  My neighbors loved that!!  Getting ready to put my AAR hood on and fab my exhaust next.   Can't wait to see if I can pull the front wheels off the ground??   Here are few pics.

Can anyone tell me why my pictures are so large when I post them??   I tried to crop and resize them to get under the 300 KB limit

Very nice car.

I know very little about drag racing; can you clue me in as to the purpose of the underhood gauges?

Thanks Swedefish- I knew somebody would know how to do it.     The 3 gauges on the passenger side are so I can tune the engine by myself easily.  RPM, fuel psi and vacume.   The second vacume gauge on the drivers side is to monitor the crankcase vacume from the vacume pump.  Notice I have a vacume regulator on the rt. valve cover.
