Yes they did. The overhead console was standard on Gran Coupe's and Challenger SE's. I have even seen at least one hemi cuda that had a factory overhead console.

I'm pretty sure that if the car was a non Gran Coupe or SE, you needed to have leather seat covers to have the overhead console.

I read a story on the very first hemicuda and it started life as a handbuilt pilot Gran Coupe that was sent back through the mill, coming out with a hemi. That is the only one I know of  :dunno:

Challenger SE only had the console.  Barracuda and Cuda with the Grand Coupe package had the console and the leather seat option also included the console.  My 6 pack Cuda has the leather option and it has the console.  I do not know if cloth seats were only Grand Coupe or not.  If they were not Grand Coupe only it would be logical that you would get the console with them also.  My buddy has a Plum Crazy AAR with the leather and overhead console.

My Cuda and others I have seen have had the hard board backed cloth with matching console. What year is your Cuda?

my cuda is a 70 with the hardboard headliner, which has about 1/4 inch foam and white vinyl stitched to hardboard in four seams running from front to rear. overhead console part covered in vinyl also. backside of vinyl has pentastar ink stamps with some numbers.

:iagree:I have never seen anything like that.  Try to get a pic that shows the grain of the vinyl.  It should be a coachman grain from Chrysler.  With Chrysler you can never say never.
