I didn't take any real detailed pics of the overhead but it is mounted with 4 bolts.  I had to repair 2 where they were ripped out as you can see on the front.  The bolts go thru the solid headliner board.  They should be flathead so they won't show when you install the covering.

how does the hard headliner mount to the roof?  Are there other panels that fill the interior at the sails?

Such a clean look compared to the stretched fabric, i love it!

The over head console came in the Gran Coupe and has 3 lights. Door ajar, was one, I think low fuel, I forget the other. I haven't look at mine in awhile.
I'd like to know where to get a cardboard head liner for my Cuda.

A lot of this was covered last summer in this following thread:
http://www.cuda-challenger.com/cc/index.php?topic=36947.0
As far as how the hardboard headliner is held up--there are a couple of screws by the dome light that screw into a roof cross brace.  The edges are held up by the rearview mirror, seatbelt anchors and clips, visors and so on.
The consoles were standard on the GC's and SE's but were also an option on Cudas as ours came with one.

There is a special bracket that screws to the roof crossbrace mid roof that the rear of the OH console attaches to. I don't think anyone reproduces the hardboard headliner but things may have changed since the last time this subject came up.

The bracket pops up on  :ebay:  from time to time, usually for less than $40. No pic on hand to post.
