New fender EDP coating?

Do you need to strip the EDP coating off new sheet metal or is it a good base to start priming?

Theres a place in Michagan that EDP's cars completely. Obviously no one would pay $11,000 to dip a whole car and then sand off.

So the answer is no...leave it on. just scuff it with a 3M pad and wipe down prior to primer.

Yup, I had a lot of parts EDP'ed by them here in Michigan, but they are not very gentle with the parts.  One guy dropped my NOS fender and bent one of the corners, and it looks like them piled some other parts on top of my shaker hood.
