I ordered the rivets though year one. (pretty sure) I did not put the rivets through the top, I had to put them in from under the header lining, and I dont think I installed them the way they were suppose to go on, but it worked out well, my only problem is, I didn't relize how tight I was putting on the screws as it left at small indent on the roof..  I dont know really much about the louver as I got it used, it had all the harware except rivets and screws.. everything went real well the first time around didn't need to make any extra holes or larger than needed.. My Dad did the drilling, I did the rest..tomorrow suppose to be in the 50's so i'll pull it out and take some pics... you can lift the louver strait up to clean the glass and it will stay put... only thing left is add all new weather stripping for doors and door panels and get my windows to work properly, wich is going to take some time.. I also installed a power antena, I wanted this so it looks cleaner and covering it during the day with a car cover would be of ease...

by the way, when I ordered the rivets the said it was the same ones used for the side view mirrors..

ok, got to take pics, if you look close on the roof, you can see an indent from over tightening..

thanks,
yea my Dad said he could get it out, but it would require me taking the louver back off..
( HE WASN'T HAPPY WHEN HE SAW IT :scared:)I really dont want to do that, I like to but I still have door panels to dye, windows to adjust, the rear bumper and valance to put on, and more weather stripping.. I like to get to drive the car this year, and my Dads pretty busy, plus he has an engine to put in his car, and a transmission to put in my brothers car. so maybe next year...
I want to put a 4 speed in it, I was leaning towards a 6 pack this year, but it would sit on a shelf till my Dad had the time to install it and set it up... I have the edelbrock 2x4bbls. but it's just not the same as seeing a 6pack   I really dont know how to do all this stuff on my own, so I have to lean towards Dads free time..
