What other hobbies do you have besides E-Bodies/Mopars?
« on: April 04, 2008 - 02:54:35 PM »
Just wondering what some of you do for fun besides the car hobby..

I like to play and work on/repair pinball machines

what do you like to do? (keep it clean)  :22yikes:
70 Cuda, 7.0L Gen-III Hemi, Viper T56 w/9310 gearset, 3.91's, Megasquirt MS3x v3.57, Innovate wideband, Firm Feel upper arms, torsion bars, springs and strut rods, QA1 DA shocks. I did everything on this car except the fancy paint stuff and I drive it...and I can't seem to stop messing with it....

I collect model ships, build computers, and love to landscape my yard. I also enjoy plunking on my martin d35 when I am wound up tight and want to step back in the past to dream

It's good to have other hobbies, sometimes I need to step away and clear my head.

I collect video games, have every system from the 2600 on up.  I also dabble with my guitars, though I'm nowhere near as good as my brother.  Other than that I'm a full time father.

i left the big city 11 years ago to indulge my love of hunting and fishing.  from may till december youll find me in the outdoors.  my other big passion is poker.  i play online pretty much daily, at the local casinos,  in a couple of bar leagues, and make a few trips to vegas each year to play.  poker was invented by god to provide me with an inexhaustible supply of OPM.

Seriously, I'm into running and pretty much all sports in general... But I won't be shooting pool at Carlisle.  :grinno: The pic is some of my running photos and awards.

I own 3 Jet-ski's, 1 Sea-Doo GTX-RFI (for my girlfriend to ride) and 2 XP's - 1 is a 98 (currently apart for major engine upgrades) and a 99.  I bought the 99 2 years ago from a race builder, it was his demo machine and it's fast beyond anything I've ever ridden before.  GPS's at 68 MPH and out accelerates just about anything out there.  When I don't feel like beating my body up, I hop into my 1981 Eliminator Daytona with a 250 HP outboard on the back.  It GPS's at 80 MPH.
I'm an adrenaline junky, nothing I own is stock and scares anyone that is not used to it.  I took my girlfriends brother-in-law out in the Daytona & he said he had to change his underwear when we got back from a short trip.
1970 Challenger R/T 440-4
1970 'Cuda 440-6 (Gone, but not forgotten)
1999 Sea-Doo XPL 69.0 MPH
1998 Sea-Doo XPL 66.3 MPH
1981 Eliminator Daytona 80.3 MPH

I am a Daddy, not much of a hobby but more of a job that is very enjoyable. My wife and i collect a lot of movies, only watch them every once and a while. other than that, i like to collect nostalgic items and sort-of like MEK, I run, mostly for AF PT but i do enjoy running a couple of miles every couple of days

What else is there?? I mean come on, Mopars are my life!! :jumping: Actually, my wife and I love antiques. We owned and ran a shop for about 5 years. We don't have the shop anymore, but still love to go antiquing and collecting. I like to refinish furniture and collect old toys, military items, old advertising items, old bottles with original paper labels (it's amazing what used to be used for a "Remedy"!! Old car stuff, Civil war stuff, actually anything over 100 years old. Just the odd and unusual!! I stuck in a couple of pics of some old wind up tin toys & stuff. Gertie the Galloping Goose made by Unique Art, in the late 30's and a wind-up tin & celluloid Santa from the 50's, a bottle of bug repellant from around 1890 (Skeeter Shoo!), and does anyone recognize this?? It's a Mopar (Dinky Toy) 1959 Dodge Royal. Unfortunately someone tried to do a "custom" paint job on it. (like something I would have done as a kid!!) :screwy: & one of my favorites a circa 1930 Russian made chronometer with a liquid filled gimbaled compass flanked on eack side by brass diving bells (valued at about 2K). It was most likely a presentation piece for a high ranking Russian officer.. Pretty fun!! :2thumbs:
