Try using a propane torch to soften it up then scrape over and over and over! It never ends!  :stomp:

Nothing on my pistons yet.  The last communique I received from Summit said they're supposed to ship on 6/27.

No updates because I haven't done any work.  Last weekend, I had worked 60+ hours the week before, so I took Saturday off, just kicked it around the house.  I was going to work Sunday, but I was on-duty and had to go relieve a sick driver and input a last minute order after Tiger Woods forced a playoff in the US Open for Monday transportation.  Since we were already out, my son and I went to the Spring PowWow car show.  I was going to work today, but it's about 100* out, so we're going to the movies.  Planning on working on the car tomorrow - unless I go to look at this http://sandiego.craigslist.org/csd/car/720669071.html and decide to buy it.  In which case my car goes up for sale.

Hey guys, thanks for your props.  Guess I did get a little sidetracked there after not working on the car for a couple of weeks.  I'm still going to look at the wagon tomorrow - I'll post a couple of photos - but unless it's a steal, I'll probably pass on it.  No, Kenny, I can't keep 'em both unless I sell the UAV and with gas so expensive, that 'jest don't make no sense.'  It's a constant battle to keep the one I have now.

Spent some time today on the gauge cluster.  I got motivated by the article in this month's Mopar Muscle.  I removed the lens and cleaned a polished it, tested the gauges (those I could) and cleaned the housing.  Word to the wise - it's an easy job, but the needles bend really easy and the gauge faces don't like a sponge bath.  Fortunatly, my needles bent back and the smearing on the gauge face wasn't too bad.  I'll be spending time on the heater controls during the evening this week.

Had a little excitement in the neighborhood today.  There's a grassy canyon just to the north of my neighborhood and **somehow**  a fire started.  Four engines and the fire copter responded.  If you look just above the house in the bottom photo, you can see it making a water drop into the canyon.  That house is three doors down from me, but it's around a corner.  My house was never in any real danger.

AAAARRRGGGHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I got another of those little post cards from Summit - my pistons are delayed ANOTHER TWO WEEKS!!!!!    :swear:  If I get one more of these d@mn things, I'm either going to have my new block bored out to .060 so they can send pistons from stock or spend the extra money on either KB pistons from Mancini or 440Source pistons.  Probably the KBs.

Oh, well, got lots more to do while I wait.  :working:

Tell them right now it's time to sh!t or get off the pot....send you upgrades at n/c or refund your money so you can buy from their competitors.

I would, but the problem isn't with them, it's with TRW - Summit's waiting on TRW/FederalMogul/whatever they are.  I can cancel the order at any time at no charge, but it'll cost me more to get the pistons elsewhere because I bought them as part of a rebuild kit - and I have the rest of the kit.  I'll get refunded about $210 - and the least I've found .040 over pistons elsewhere is KB through Mancini Racing for $345+shipping.  But if I get another one of these cards, I'll cancel and Summit may lose my business all together.

I just checked PAW - $395.00 with rings.  I do need one ring (I already broke one  :-[), but not an entire set.
