Stick with it Greg,  Have a look around e-bay for new pistons and you will be surprised at what you will find........... Look in the Buy-it-now section :2thumbs:

I checked E-bay and don't think I'd like to go that route - just as expensive and more difficult to return.  I called my machine shop to inform them and Pat, the owner, said the shop that does their crankshaft work could get some KBs.  She'll call me back later this week with a price.

You'll all be happy to know that I've decided to keep my Challenger, so ya'll can put away your pitchforks.  I went and looked at the Valiant after work today and it's a sweet car.  If I were looking for a project or had more space and a more supportive wife (did I just say that out loud?), I'd grab it.  But, I'm not and I don't and, like Kenny said, I already have most of the parts I need.  (Though not so many as you might think - lots more engine parts to get.)  It was tempting...very tempting.  I really knew I wouldn't get it, but if I didn't look, I'd always wonder.  If anyone is interested, the car is definitely worth the money.

Painted the four-speed hump Eastwood Chassis Black and finished cleaning up and reassembling the HVAC controls.  It's not a Slotts job, but it looks better than what I started with.

Thanks for the support guys.  I'm starting to feel like things are looking up - I'm hoping to start hanging stuff back on the car soon. :jumping:

My family and I went to see "WALL-E" this morning followed by lunch and a trip to Home Depot, so I didn't get to work until 3:30.  Rather than get all hot and sweaty mounting the four-speed hump, I figured I'd finish up cleaning the headlight switch, dimmer switch and switch panel.

Eehhh...it was OK.  As far as Pixar movies are concerned, it was one of my least favorites - but of the five movies I've seen in the last five weeks (Ironman, Indiana Jones, Narnia and Speedracer (ick)), it's my second favorite.
