I haven't posted for awhile. I've spent the last couple of weeks collecting parts
and getting the finish machine work done on my rods. More honey-do's have limited the amount of time I've had to get any actual work done.
This weekend, I mocked up the engine (block, heads, pan and timing cover) and painted it. After a single coat of primer, my wife started hollering about all the overspray (actually quite limited), so I improvised a little paint booth. I think she was disappointed when she came out to the garage and couldn't yell at me about all the orange overspray on the washer, so she yelled about the powder on the floor.
Oh, the valve cover and rusty timing cover were from the machine shop and are just on the engine for paint.
