    Hey Greg, make sure that wiper motor will work with your wiring harness, it looks like a 72 and up motor...... Keep rollin man! wait until it runs on its own power, you put on a big  :bigsmile:

    I stopped on mine for 6 months once, i was fed up, but i sure was happy when i came home and my father welded the other quarter on while i was away..

    Hmmm...I was wondering if that was the case, that it wasn't original but a transplant from another car.  That would explain the twisted pairs.  There's was a lot of that type of thing in this car - look at the transmission installation.  Anyway, I'm rewiring the whole car, so I'll make it work.  I got in on that Ron Francis group buy several months ago.

    I should go drive one, someone's for sale car.  I've never actually driven one or even ridden in one.  (Someone pushing mine around the driveway while I steer it doesn't count!  :roflsmiley:)

    Jeez - I get all twitchy if it isn't done in 1 year.  Could not imagine owning one for 15!  Longest I've ever had a project was 4 years. I guess I'm still a rokie too  :cheers:

    Well, after not posting anything in almost five months, I suppose it's about time I posted a little update. 

    I haven't hardly touched it since December - just a little puttering here and there, nothing to report.  Today, I actually did something.  :working:  I bought a pair of steelies with decent rubber a year ago at the junkyard.  They've been sitting in the back yard ever since.  I was cleaning up that area to put in our vegetable garden today and figured I should clean up the wheels, paint them BLACK for a little rat-rod look and put 'em on the car.  For the time being, I mounted one on the front and one on the rear because I have to replace one of the front tires (dry rot.)  I'll finish the other two next week.

    I know this will bring out a few angry villagers  :villagers:, but if the owner of this car (http://sandiego.craigslist.org/csd/cto/1171665254.html) is interested in a trade, I'll trade him straight across.  I'd like to have a nice little cruiser I can slowly work on fixing up and still afford to drive.

    Wow.  Your E-body can probably trade for 2 or 3 of those a-bodies.

    Remember, his car could be just like yours underneath.  But yours is a Challenger.

    You could always make yours a dependable driver with A/C, if that's what you want.
