The trim for the rear glass, they were screw in clips not studs. I have a grand coupe also so I can't help on the rocker placement, I'm not sure it really matters though, as long as the moulding ends up level and in the right position. There were 3 screw holes on mine on the front fender end of the trim (in the body not the trim) where it looks like they repositioned it a few times on the assembly line to fit right. I found this image of the rocker panel detail where holes are used (even though it shows pic of a challenger). I also included a pic of where the clips went on my rear window trim, we noted the locations of the clips when we replaced the rear window channel. I had clips and staples on the upper window opening (that still had vinyl under them), maybe you are seeing staple remnants?
