Whether or not you qualify (I don't), is really immaterial to Al being a good guy.  I am guessing that his whole point is to get parts that he has to people who need them.  Rewarding long time users of this board for their selfless help and friendship is great, but from what I have read through his posts, it seems Al just wants to weed out some people who would resell or profit from his generosity.  If he chooses to do that by trusting people who have helped alot of others through this board, it seems pretty logical to me.

It sure seems to be in the spirit of this "family".
He is definitely the kind of guy this world needs more of.
Thanks Al.

 :iagree:  Well said, FJ5_440!

Geeze, what's with all the attitude?  A guy just wants to go about helping others out and gets blasted for it?  It's a sad thing to see this at this site as I really take pride in this site because of the congeniality of the members here.

Al is doing what he wants, the way he wants.  That's his business.  If you like it, fine, if you don't then just leave it be.  I would be saying this if I have 5000 posts or 50 so it's not because I have a lot of posts.  I just see Al for the guy that he is and if you've been around him on this board you'll get to know he is a very respectable guy.  I've seen some of your posts Yellow_Fish and you seem to be a good guy and helpful to others so I don't know where the problem is.  :dunno:  :clueless:

No one here wants to have any harsh feelings so I hope this thread can just stick to the initial premise of this thread.

I still dont get why some people get all riled up about what Al does with his own belongings. While it is true you cannot legitimize integrity or honor with post count. I think the reason Al has the post count quota into effect is that it gives the member more time to find his place in the family, to show his true self through numerous posts and topics. Yellowfish just seems to have a problem with generosity and is trying to make trouble. It is actually obvious  that he does NOT have a life or he would not be wasting time making an ass out of himself here on this site.

And just what do you think that I would do with that part?

I just don't care for your approach.

And, let’s see, you have been a member for about 530 days and on this site for 35 of them. Well, that’s about 10% of you waking hours. No, I'll never be able to match that - I have a life.

I knew that it would be hard to argue with "free" parts. But if you wanted to exclude a large part of this "family", maybe you should have done it on the side.

Oh, and just because you post 4000 times doesn't make you the "master".

I don't post very much, but I am here reading almost every day. I guess I had to stick my 2 cents in on this one. I have read a lot of posts where Al has helped people, given parts away, sold cheap, etc. I didn't get upset. I thought "Good for them". I have also seen where several people have helped Al out with things, so Al, you must be a very good person and friend!
