Well let's see last Saturday I awoke to more than 20 centimeters of snow...they say we may reach 20 Celsius this weekend...and then back to cool...cold...rainy...snowy by Monday

Some people got flowers popping up already and I am still keeping the snow shovel handy...just doesn't seem right

The flowers are popping all over the place and just last Sunday I could not fight the urge to pull the cover off the pool and get it opened. Last week end it was in the 70's this weekend it is in the 40's. maybe I jumped the gun?

But this should be a distant memory.

whitesatin.... It's not the tornadoes you need to worry about... it's the humidity that will take you out...LOL.... So are you really looking to re-locate to the Sunny South?.. If so post what situation would be ideal & I'll keep an eye open for an opportunity.

the last bit of snow is almost gone and temps in the high 40`s-low 50`s and even hit mid 60-`s one day this week, now if it would only stop raining every weekend I could take out the cuda for it`s first spring beat run!

:clueless:    From reading the replies here there is pos and negs pretty much anywhere in the country. I guess when it comes down to it mabe the cold and snow we ge isn't bad. At least we don't have to dodge tornados on a regular bases. The only time the groung shakes here is if your'e to close to the train tracks when it goe's buy.  :smilielol:  The baddest thing is we are so far away from most everything car related.  :violin:

Im talking the whole state. Huricanes on the gulf, I live up high in the hills. The weather gets weird anywhere a storm front comes through and pushes hot out and cold in. This storm came from arkansa, mo way. it is past us now. I live about 2 hrs or less from nashville, south on I 65. If you look at my m46 post installed, that is what the whole area around here is. Trees, hills, rivers, farm land. The 5 acres I am talking about is at the end of the road, like 1000 ft away and in the culdesac (spelling) . Has some large trees, and the river is at the back. Utilities are right there and there is a small cement block building about 200' in. I almost bought it. A small town is 5 miles from me. a town of 24k is 17 miles. Dry county. NO ALCOHOL  some have been trying to vote it in for a decade.  Land taxes are very low. mines around 16 bucks a year. I super love it here, but it gets humid and temps in the summer are upper 90's to 100.   And old cars are fairly cheap

You should get your pan mon or tues :2thumbs:

Well, yes I'd like to make a move. Whether we can or not.........?? And obviously $$$ will be a factor. We own two properties about 45 mile apart and during the summers seems all I get done is drive back and forth caring for the lawns etc. I'm retiring the first week of Jan. 2009 and I guess a warmer / mildier climite is appealing, however I know I don't care for the humidity we have here in late August. Al in his post said he pays like $16.00 for his realestate taxes  :roflsmiley: I don't really know how much property etc. he may have as far as taxable value, but ............we pay near $2000.00 a year here. Looks like maybe we should drive down to Al's place, this would have been a good weekend, looks like about a 10 hour drive.

Oldschool....Looks like things are warming up in N.Ga.....Youall need the rain how's  the wind?

We do need the rain.  The front blew through here yesterday evening/night.  We had rain for about 2-3 hours with some run of the mill t-showers, but no rough weather around here.  We never had any bad weather warnings in my county.  So I guess that is about as good as we could have hoped.

Last weekend the spring runoff started and I was able chip the ice away from the garage door and the get the ice out of the the garage from the Feb thaw that we had.I was able to get the Challenger out for a short drive.
On Wednesday the the neighbours garage where I store my Charger started to flood so I rescued it (and went for a drive), by Friday you could Kayak around the garage.
Charger has been outside for last couple days and last night it snowed about 15cm.
Weather channel says its going to warm up a little over the next couple days so all I have to look forward to is more slop and another runoff.

At least there's little chance of hurricanes, tornados, landslides, forestfires or earthquakes
