Does anyone know how the highlighted spring connects to the transmission linkage? I don't think it goes on where it shows, but on the other end some how.

in the lower left corner of the pioc you have a bracket attached to the top of the shaft that goes down through the floor , the spring is attacthed to the shaft & bracket on the top , I dont have a good pic of how this is attached properly , sorry
