Mopars at the Rock
« on: April 12, 2008 - 07:18:30 PM »
Not a bad show today; more cars than last year, although the sky opened up about 1. Here's some stuff I found interesting.

The PT cruiser was done in a pirate theme all over. The glass is not etched; from the close look I got I'd say it was done with a Dremel.

The last shot is Dayley's car trying to tread water.

Here's one more. These wheels were on a Superbird (Vitamin C 440-6). The owner, who seemed pretty knowledgeable, said they were a rare option. Anyone ever seen these?

Hey HK,
Thanks for sharing those pics. Some really nice rides!! I've seen that PT cruiser (pretty awesome art work on that glass!!) and a few other cars up here at some shows in VA. Rockingham's not too far a ride from Chesapeake/Tidewater VA area. Hope you didn't float away!! :roflsmiley: :roflsmiley:

Great photos - thanks for sharing.  I like that orange 1st gen and the gray 2nd gen Barracudas.  Does anyone on the board own one of the 1st gens?

Guys, these are the recall wheels. They're not the original finish, though.

I was at the rock sat.  I was hoping to see any of you guys there.
I was over at the drag strip with a friend that was racing.
By the time I got to the car show side, I had about 5 mins before the bottom fell out.

I did manage to get a gas tank, sending unit, and sock for a song.
plus a few center caps, and a vallance.

If I am lucky I just might get my wife's 73 Challenger painted by the end of the year.
still need to save up for strobe stripes, and hood black-out.

Sorry I missed you, Treefrog. You didn't happen to get any racing pics did you?

a few.  I ran out leaving my digital at home, and had to settle with a couple of disposables...
I will try and send them off this week.

sad to say I spent most of my time with the venders. but the deals were worth it.

got offered a whole shaker hood setup(Challenger) for $800, just no room in the car, and no cash in the wallet.
