Easy to follow but informative little vid if it's your first time at the track

http://moddinart.com/DragRacing101.wmv

There are also some courtesy rules when you are on the track...like never turn off the track in front of others...usually the lane that is closest to the wall...has the right away

At our track that would be the left lane...so if you are in the right lane...wait your turn...if you are ahead of the left lane...back off...slow down and let them go ahead...even if you beat the left lane car...unless you beat him so bad he is far far back...well then the track officials might give you the thumbs up to go ahead...otherwise...wait until the left lane has turned off

The worst that can happen is you start leaking some fluids or something...don't continue driving down the center of the lane...gosh clean ups at the track are so boring and take soooooooo long to do. If you start leaking something...or burning or notice your car is making unusually loud noises...pull your car to the side of the lane as soon as you can...the cleanup won't be so bad or so long then

Normal radial tires hold water...so don't run through the water because all you are going to do is spew water all over the place and then the cars that come up with drag radials or slicks...lose traction. Regular radials...a little spin...cleans your tires and you are good to go

Kinda funny at the end by not following his own advice he got a speeding ticket...he said the policeman was nice and let him off with a 100 in a 60 zone...could have been worse

Wow,
Good advice!! I actually had someone turn in front of me at the end of the track. Kinda hard to stop when you're going 100 plus MPH. Scared the #x@!!! out of me!! Actually it was the one thing that scared me the most during all the times I dragged race. It was that close!!!  :scared:

wow i wish they would put that kinda information in a packet at the open track nights, here and vegas. every import/ineducated person runs through the water, turns ahead of you, runs up to the stage, etc, etc. Track goes from okay from the get, to a wash within no time!

I was at the track today :woo: and took 50 pictures :burnout: they only had 2 mopars there :crying: but I had a great time. It was 1/8 mile. You guys would just die looking at these in a safety point of viewing. Country track 101....no ambulance, no security, no tech in, hold the body of the car while doing a burn out :screwy:

Wanna see some pics from this evening?
