I just got a call  through a good friend who's a bowtie boy. He put me on the phone with a guy who wants to sell this block. He says I can have it sonic tested ect. WIW??    Talk to me I got about 2 hrs to figure this one!    Block only - NO internals.

With new blocks being over 2500. It's got to be worth at least that, but try and make him throw the first price out there, cuz you never know what the seller thinks its worth.

Slow him down by asking questions.
Like, I need to make sure that none of the lifter bores are out. The mains all still good. And if he says that its a cream puff, Tell him your machinist friend is coming over to verify the specs on it with you. Whatever it takes to keep him in the loop so you have the option to keep working the deal. Express your sincerity to buy it most of all; so he knows you're not a UT.

Well.. call#2...still got his machine. When I talked with him earlier he "seemed" like a staight shooter. My buddy thought so... he was talking right to him and called me right then. Told him I'd call after I closed theshop . Told me within about a half mile to where he lives....
