72 Road Runner Clone GY3 Curious Yellow
« on: April 20, 2008 - 07:24:41 PM »
I am listing for sale my recent project car - for pics of the entire build go to www.challengergary.com  Also, in the member's Restorations Section of this board there is a whole 6 page thread dedicated to my project

This car started life as a 318 Satellite. I have added a freshly rebuilt 440, rebuilt the front end and added a sway bar, added an air grabber hood (that needs finishing - missing underhood components), painted the rust free body 1971 GY3 Curious Yellow/Citron Yella. There was only one small 2" * 6 " spot of rust that I had to repair before painting it. I welded a patch in rather than just mudding it up. The paint and body looks darn good but not perfect. I'd say it's a very nice driver or a local cruise-in type of job. The rims are all 15" with BFG tires. Interior is new but the back seat really needs new foam because the cover I installed sags. The engine has less than 100 miles on it. The frame rails are perfect and so are the floors. Exhaust could use re-doing as I only hooked up the set up that was in the car when I got it. I have a set of Bazooka tips to go with it. I also added power front disk brakes with a 73 up A-Body Spindle setup and a new master cylinder and power brake booster to the car and rebuilt the back brakes including wheel cyliners. After bleeding the system it seems to need a new proportioning valve. I am going to try and replace it this week. This is a nice looking car that needs some detailing to finish it up nicely.

Asking $13,500

I am located in the Fort Worth, Texas area.

Thanks

I'm glad you're not in Michigan, I would not be able to refrain.  71 RR is my favorite, but this 72 would do just fine

It looks like a steal at that price.  :grinyes:

I'm with ROMI on this one. If you lived closer to me, I wouldn't be able to resist.

No Prob, like he was probably mentioning, he's pretty interested, just a matter of getting paid for some work he has done over a month ago.

That's funny because a 71 340 4 speed Challenger R/T is my favorite...

This could easily be workable for me......
The only bad part would be getting kicked off this board

and, I'm still watching...

Unfortunately ,it would not work for me since my reason for selling this car is purely financial.  Besides that, nobody would ever kick you off this board for not having a Cud aor Challenger.  Afterall, look at this month's Car of the Month

To see whether your brother buys it or not.
I don't want to be rude.
I guess I was just saying that I'm really tempted and I'm fighting that temptaion but I'm still going to watch to see if it sells.

I have a nice car and I have no business looking at another one...
But I just can't help it !

BTW I was just joking about getting kicked off
