Californian's Joke:)
« on: April 20, 2008 - 09:47:40 PM »
So as not to be outdone by all the redneck, hillbilly, and Texan jokes, somebody had to come up with this, you know you're from California if:

1. Your coworker has 8 body piercing and none are visible.

2. You make over $300,000 and still can't afford a house.

3. You take a bus and are shocked at two people carrying on a conversation in English.

4. Your child's 3rd-grade teacher has purple hair, a nose ring, and is named Flower.

5. You can't remember . .

is pot illegal?

6. You've been to a baby shower that has two mothers and a sperm donor.

7. You have a very strong opinion about where your coffee beans are grown, and you can taste the difference between Sumatran and Ethiopian.

8. You can't remember . . .

is pot illegal?

9. A really great parking space can totally move you to tears.

10. Gas costs $1.00 per gallon more than anywhere else in the U.S.

11. Unlike back home, the guy at 8:30 am in Starbucks wearing a baseball cap and sunglasses who looks like George Clooney really IS George Clooney.

12. Your car insurance costs as much as your house payment.

13. You can't remember . .

is pot illegal?

14. It's barely sprinkling rain and there's a report on every news station: 'STORM WATCH.

'

15. You pass an elementary school playground and the children are all busy with their cells or pagers.

16. It's barely sprinkling rain outside, so you leave for work an hour early to avoid all the weather-related accidents.

17.

HEY!!!! Is pot illegal????

18. Both you AND your dog have therapists, psychics, personal trainers and cosmetic surgeons.

19. The Terminator is your governor.

20. If you drive illegally, they take your driver's license. If you're here illegally, they want to give you one.

It's a rat race of people that half of them don't speak english. but I'd rather tolerate the BS than freeze my arse off for 6 months out of the yr.

GA. and S.C. sound comfortable weather wise near the coast.

California is a beautiful place and all, but I still hope I live to see the day that state drops off into the Pacific!  I thought the one place that made all the rules for the rest of the country was susposed to be Washington D.C.

It won't. The tetonic plates are interwoven. Move around yes. Fall off...No.

We make more laws because we have more legislators. The bigger the population, the more legislators you have. The size of the states budget in itself is part of the reason some of the new laws are made. They try to find ways to help the state back.

Legislators have a very short term. They want to make themself known before their term ends. Thus they try to invent new laws to get recognized. Then they can move up the political ladder of politics. Califoornia is a political arena to get yourself in the spot light if your a legislator. Now you can understand the idiocy that goes on here in our state.

more people so more idiots to choose from??

 :grinyes:

talking to my cousin in Canada, he mentioned that there are more people living in California than all of Canada- we definitely have the market cornered on weird people as far as I am concerned.

I think I'd rather freeze my a** off for 6 months and know my unlocked car will be still in my driveway in the morning!!!

I have to agree with Topcat on this one. I'll take my 300+ days of sun a year and tolerate some stupid people over 10 feet of snow 6 months a year. That means more Mopar driving weather. But to each his own.

The weather is nice but I wouldn't live near a big city, especially in the southern half of the state.
