And this is different from the US drilling on Iraq soil, because?

Because the oil belongs to the Northern Iraq Oil Company and the Southern Iraq Oil Company ( I.E. the Iraqi gov't ).  They subcontract to a number of international oil companies, but the Iraqis control the rights to the oil.

A friend of mine drives the Amish around when they want to go someplace that is not close.

I told him to be nice to them, because in a few years, they'll be driving us around.

OK, so now that the government is in shambles and all out of sink, who has the rights and where is this oil going? It's all very well reading the papers but as you and anyone knows it's usually a lot of brainwash BS. lol

Cheers.

More to the point, we all might have to use Amish transport, horse and cart, roller blades and skooters.   :stirpot:

Well, at least that would take care of some of the obesity problem in the US.   :cooldancing:  :jumping:  :roflsmiley:

Its still not going to us, so stop using it as an example because its not the same thing. The Chinese are stealing our oil.

Besides, why are you ragging on the US government, and defending the Chinese?

I'm not defending any nation and for you to swing it around to that, is laughable. I'm on neutral grounds and read between the lines, not because "I like one country or another". Unfortunately for a select few, patriotism blinds them and they hear what they want to hear.

And a lot of people believe the anti-American propaganda that seems to be so "IN" right now.

Is that all you have to say? "Anti American propaganda"? I love America mate, more than you know. If I was an "anti-American" you think I'd have a US flag in my garage and room? 4 American cars? (plus the several I sold), spend time on American forums for the last 5+ years? Stick up for America when others bash them at parties, pubs and social events? As I said, I'm looking at this through neutral eyes. As far as I see it, it's "x" nation doing something to "x" nation, so please stop stirring and trying to turn it around to a nation vs nation debate which is old and also very, very, sad.  ;)

I am seriously not trying to stir anything. But you keep implying that because some of us are patriotic, we're some type of stupid blind zombies that dont know whats going on. Of course we're patriotic, as we should be, and as I am sure you are as well. And I didn't mean that you don't like America. I'm just saying that a lot of the stuff in the foreign news has a definite anti-American slant to it, that it seems to be cool to bash us, and that a lot of people just dont get the real facts.

Fair enough, I can see where you are coming from and sorry if I took it the wrong way but if you read your own posts yourself you can see where one would take it as being called an anti-American (which I most certainly am not). I'll leave it there, I guess all we can hope for is some relief on fuel costs because for the foreseeable future it isn't cheap to fuel up these machines we all love.  :crying:

:iagree:    LPG is cheaper and the oil companies are selling it to Japan for around 2-3 cents per litre.
I have been using LPG in road cars since 1975, today the discounted price is .65 cents per litre, bet the oil companies are not paying the 60% tax that they pass onto us motorists. :villagers:
When I was in America last year the price was the same as gasoline, now thats a rip off, especially as LPG is a by product of the refining process.   :money:
Australian LPG is now blended with at least 60% butane   :puke:
