New Repo grille or Oem grille
« on: April 22, 2008 - 12:51:51 PM »
I will be in the future changing my grille for my 74 barracuda. (mine is brittle) I am considering buying a new repo 1970 grille from goodmark with the signal lights assembly. The reason I am considering the 1970 grille is because the OEM 72-74 grilles are expensive (in good condition) and are inherently know to crack in the middle. The repo 72-74 grilles I heard are know to warp in the heat. Anyone have suggestions or opinions on this? I personally don't care about having the car restored to everything original and I like both grilles, 70 or 72-74 just about the same.

I don`t believe the 70 grille can be mounted without the 70 header panel

:iagree: If you want to install a 70 grille you will have to change the header panel. If you want to go through with that the Goodmark grille is an excellent product. I have one in my car.

That's what I heard that the repo 70 grille was made very well. The repo header panel was suppossed to come out this May as I understand it as well.  It's always best to hear it from someone that has one though...
