While Dana 60's are stronger than an 8 3/4, newer alloy axles and parts closes up the gap some. For most street-n-strip cars an 8 3/4 is plenty strong and the part I like about them is how flexible they are. Want to cruise out of town? an hour or so later and you have some 2.73 or 2.94's in there. Want to rock the 1/4 mile? another hour or so and you have a set of 4.30 or 4.56 in there. I love having that option.

Good points to consider!  :grinyes: Of course the ol' budget is always the biggest consideration!  :money:

Thanks again for the input.  This will probably happen next winter, as the budget keeps having to be modified.  Seems like I need a trunk vent kit now BIGSHCLUNK.  Does give me a good reason to go to work though.........
