Another FY1 '70 Cuda project
« on: April 23, 2008 - 01:07:41 AM »
Here are a few pictures of my Cuda that is currently having its body work done.

My plan is to restore the exterior and interior back to stock options. Upgrade the transmission, suspension and stroke the 340.

Tell me what you think! I listed my options in the vin/broadcast sheet section for those interested in the Cuda's options.

Looks like it's comming along great. Also looks like a lot of work to go. Have fun and it'll be a great one when done.

Thanks for the compliments.

808- I'm not sure about the louvers, but I will ask the previous owner. I bought the car from him as you see it know with all the parts seperate...One big jigsaw puzzle.

Here are a few pictures from the body work that was completed in Feburary.   :working:

The body work is being done by a guy that worked with Matt Delaney in Shreveport. If you saw the yellow challenger in the Mopar Mags, he did a lot of the bodywork on that car.

Sorry for the crappy resolution, parents are still trying to figure out the internet. :roflsmiley:

Dead thread update...

It's been a while, so I figured an update is in order.  After talking with Russ, the guy doing the bodywork, we (dad and I) decided to get a lot of new sheetmetal for the car...(fenders, inner fenders, quarters, roof, trunk lid). It took some time to save the cash, but in the end the car will look a lot better than if Russ patched the old pieces. Here are a few pics of the new metal direct from AMD. These were taken in March 2009. I should have new pics in January of everything welded in place.

Looking good way to go.  Wish it was warmer so I could be out with my car.
Got a pretty good start on my M46 optioned Barracuda restoration but now it is on hold till I can gather more funds.  Still need a few parts for it.  SIU Graduate 75 AAS Automotive Tech, 94 BS Advanced Tech Studies, 1997 MSED Workforce Education and Development
