Well, the latest update has me still waiting on the fenders , hood , rear decklid and front and rear valances, But they have been shipped :droolingbounce:
My Pistol Grip tilt shifter has been ordered form Resto Rick but it still hasn't been shipped yet. He is waiting on  a lense that was cracked and he needs to replace before sending. I have all of the other parts except for the seat upholstry and the challenger exhaust tips but they were ordered today.
Soon work will start on my car and paint can't be too far away :working: :cooldancing:

This weeks update;
Fenders and the other metal have arrived , I just have to go to the freight terminal tomorrow and pick them up. I talked with my mechanic today and I will deliver the car to him next tuesday. He is going to install the springs and torque converter and also rebuild the rear and install the sure grip.No longer will she be the onelegged wonder.
As soon as the mechanic gets done I get to drive it to the paint and body shop.

Well I am now looking for a ring and pinion gear for the rear . My mechanic took the axles out and dropped the differential out of the car. When he got it out there were 5 teeth broken on the ring gear.
No metal inside of the housing , so it had been put together this way. :pullinghair:
I haven't talked to him about he springs or torque converter but I will be in contact with him this week.
Hopefully pics will follow soon

Well we are no further today than we were at the last update. I got the new ring and pinion to the mechanic and when I stopped by today to check on the car... Bad news
I had ordered the ring and pinion for a 489 case as this is what the previous owner had stated was in the car.  It has a 741 :hyper: I know that I should have looked for myself :dunno:
I located a 489 case from a buddy and soon we will have a 489 cased suregrip with 355 gears.
The last week has been very rough and hopefully the next few will go much smoother.
With all of the complications from the past couple of weeks I managed to put a big dent in my pickup yesterday also.. Backed into a concrete barrier....

Well this weeks update has a few things completed
1. The 750 Holley carb has been rebuilt but not yet installed.
2. The Auburn gear suregrip is completed.
3. The Espo springs have been installed. The springs are Espo heavy duty springs 1"  over stock
 4. The stall converter will be installed next week plus the carb will also be installed. Engine will be tuned and timed. I have given my mechanic a set of instructions for timing the car to Cryco's specs. He was in total agreement on timing a bb mopar this way.
Pictures below of the cars new stance with the new springs.

Not a lot has been going on this week. I have taken a new set of shocks to my mechanic and he has the car up on the four post lift. He is going to swap torque converters next week and put the shocks on my car.
I have got in new part in from RestoRick.com and it is a real beauty.
Until next week

Not much has happened this week as my mechanic has been busy with customers cars.
He has installed the carb and fuel lines from the pump to the carb.
Until next week....

Well things have not gone so good this week on the Challenger. The carb was installed last week but we have had major problems with it. The carb has been disassembled and gone back through but still have had  no luck getting it to run properly. Car would run good for a few minutes and then after shutting it off, restarting was a major undertaking. We never did get the carb to give any kind of consistency, plus performance was just terrible. We have ruined three set of spark plugs trying to get this carb adjusted.
I have finally given up on the Holley and bought a new Edelbrock Performer. The Edelbrock runs great and now we can get to the rear differential break in.
Now that we can get the car to the four post lift , the torque converter can now be installed and finally get the car to paint and body work.

Until next week....
