    Primer actually absorbs moisture over time. This is why so many vinyl top cars got rusty under the vinyl. Chrysler put little if any paint on the roofs before installing the tops. You might want to call Legendary or someone else who installs vinyl tops for a second opinion.

     Hey guys, thanks for the input. I will defiantly discuss these issues before the top goes on. After all  it is my car and they are working for me.
    You all have helped a lot with this car to this point and I hope you keep giving the input.
    After all we are the owners of the two best muscle cars ever!

     The paint is being applied today 2-20-2010.  But I don't get to see my car until monday. The restoration shop has had my car since  july of 2008 so maybe two more days won't be so bad.      Pictures to follow monday afternoon....... :picture:

    Vinyl is scheduled for monday a.m. The car is in the heat right now . My painter has a heated paint booth to bake the paint when he gets finished. Not an extreme heat just enough to aid the curing

    Hey guys we have paint!!!! and vinyl top installed!!!!  I haven't got to see her yet but my wife went by today and got a picture with her cell phone.
