Took the AC heater box apart. Plenty of things to fix since my car didn't originally have AC and the box had the vacuum lines cut amongst some fiberglass problems. Now I'm going to clean up the box and get the core and condenser to the radiator shop for testing.

pulled the alternator and the starter.
Replaced the tired mini starter with a remanufactured unit. I wonder if the mini starters have a tough time with large high compression engines?
I think I'm going to see if I can get the alternator rewound.
Autozone could only tell me it was putting out about 10 volts.

Also found out my steering coupler clamp was easier to access from below with the starter out, so I was able to pinch it back on, and also saw I was missing a bolt on the bottom flange of my left header, so I replaced that.
Finally I think I located my power steering leak. Can anyone tell me about the red clamp in the picture (left center), if that type is any good for a high pressure line? Doesnt look like it. I'm almost positive thats where the leak is (right where the hose meets the nut), since I saw a drop fall on the housing about 2" below that nut.

It's ZeroF or 32' below freezing here and I spent 4 hrs in the unheated garage fitting the lft trunk extension to the new floor and cutting out the lft 1/4 striker pillar and drilling the spot welds out of the used one that's going in and fitting it for welding. My sons pulled the cyl.head/turbo assbly and rear disc brake axle out of the poor old Dodge Spirit they finally managed to kill. The beer doesn't seem to warm up too much, I can vouch for that! :screwy:

Took the fish out to run some errands around town...  slipped out of my parking spot a bit with all the ice on the road...  :misbehaving:
Note the new passenger side mirror.  :)

Painted the hood pin mount black.  Prepping for pinage...

Replaced my "white" driving lights...  with amber ones... oops, those WERE amber... a long time ago...

Hi Bill!  :)  The car did fine for a over an hour but crept up to a bit over 200 deg. before I headed home.   I had a LOT of stop and go around town and it was a hot day.  Not too worried.
How's the build?  Going to Spring Fling?

Pushed 8" of snow & ice off the car covers, let her get some air & sunshine & ran it for 20 mineuts to charge up the battery, 1/2hour of car time in the last 4 or 5 weeks :'(  2 more months & the insurance goes back on! It's gonna be a long 2 months! Rich.

I installed ( finally!) the front Hotchkis sway bar, and made sway bar tabs for the A-Body LCA's.  Not a big deal , but when it's snowing and blowing outside it somewhat takes away my will to get some work done. No heat in the garage.

Crummy weather is back here again. Looks like rain this week end.

Sure was nice having 70 plus degree weather last week-end.

Looking into welding engine crate legs bolted to a pallet to the engine mounts.
Transport the engine on a pallet to the dyno unscathed.
