They always fire up so nicely, even after sitting for three months  :jumping:

Fixing the last and final metal welding and grinding.

Putting in the right patch, butt welded in. This was a door I bought like this years ago.

Really getting nice here this week. 85 degrees today.  :woo:

Painted the Gran coupe rocker panels. Welded in the 4-speed hump, and 3 of the torque boxes 1 more to go then finish sealing and primering the underside of the car and floorboards. May pull the dash and father in law will rewire it with the new harness. Will post pics when done.

Took the oil pan off and checked main and rod bearings for damage after the new flat tappet cam destroyed itself....904 lobes with 1.6 rocker ratio broke in with Joe Gibbs oil...wasn't the oils fault.  All bearings were A-OK.  So waiting for replacement cam...will give up a little peak numbers but want a cam that will run many miles trouble free.  Going for a step or two up from OEM 340 cam, but no 904 stuff.

Removed the flip-top fuel cap and replaced it with the body-matched twist in. Had it painted when I had the quarters repaired, and it has been sitting around ever since. Much preferred cleaner look.

Adjusted the passenger door. It was slightly toed in at the bottom, which meant there was a gap at the top of the window when wound up. Got it so it isn't perfect, but much better and the window actually makes contact with the felt liner of the rear window now.

... and also put on my Mopar stickers that I had made!  :woo:

I've started to replace my old Mallory distributor with a MSD ready-to-run. Hope to fire up the 'cuda tomorrow and ajust the timing. Got a holde on a timing light today :)
