After about not even 10 starts on a brand new starter (on the newly rebuilt 440), the starter puked.  Autozone replaced it under warranty (bought it in march). got it changed out this morning, and set the timing with Todd's help.  drove the car around the storage unit lot for about 6 or 7 laps, and the needle on the temp gauge stayed still, right at the top end of the white box.  now i gotta get the little water leaks on the new hoses taken care of.  i will get to that this afternoon when i get the honey-do's done, and the car has had a chance to cool down.   :woo:

Took the 440 to the engine builders today.  Now the hard part starts, the waiting tell it done and we can see the numbers.

Also, started polishing the stainless steel trim.........man that is a lot of work.

Sun was out today finally, took the boys out for a ride to pick up some fresh steak tips and chicken breast for the BBQ.  Was a great day all around.

Straighten, sanded and polished the sill plates.

It is amazing how much abuse they take over the years.  Small dents and many scratches and gouges needed to be removed.

Lots of work but well worth the effort.  :2thumbs:

replaced my pinion snubber with an oem type. Easiest job Ive ever done on the cuda. Took about 5 minutes.
Now I have a spare adjustable hi-rise type snubber that was practically up against my floor when sitting.
Probably try to sell it.
