who put all those fingerprints on that reproduction factory dust????  :roflsmiley:

ok, i'll clean that up too!!

Yeah mine collects the dust and it is not even installed. I keep it covered but the black wrinkle texture seems to be a dust magnet I was thinking about clear coating the crud out of it to make it easier to clean.

I'll be trying to get all of the kinks out of my new car and hopefully get it running.

I feel ya on that.  Seems like I get one little thing fixed, and then another one rears its ugly head

Wiper motor wires were bare and the whole thing was weathered.
Refurbished wiper motor and installed.

after a few weeks of crappy weather and rain today was nice so I took her out for a run and enjoyed the changing colours and sunshine! Got a few of these in too!  :burnout: :aarg:

Cody once did a thread on re-doing his years ago.
Would like to watch you do yours.

Has anyone replaced the standard globes with LED types? I did it on my GTR and it made a massive difference.

A little late as I haven't done much in the last 6 months, but yes it makes a huge difference.

Took the old Buggy out and filled it up and put fuel stabilizer in.  Went for a drive around town, got lots of thumbs up. Did quite a few full throttle launches from stop lights. Sure loves the cold air!  Quite a noticable difference in power when it's cold and damp.
Might be the last run of the season... we'll see?

I am going to the nhra finals In pomona tomorrow. That should get me fired up about working on my car some more. Now that the rainy season is here I'll need to get it winterized. Fix my leaky rear window, and get my windshield wipers working.

Was a great weekend here, had it out for a BBQ in MA.  Was about 120 miles total.  Car ran great, love ripping on the highway at 3500 rpms.  Need to secure my headlight buckets though.LOL  They were shaking pretty good at speed on the way home, people kept moving over from the lights.

I took one of her big frying pans out today to soak my E-brake cables in Rust Away I bought at Harbor Freight.
She was O.K. with that as long as I didn't scratch the Teflon.

Put a few inches of Rust away in the pan. Took a rubber band and pulled it together.
Threw it in. .

By the end of the day, it looked brand new again.
Next is coat it with RPM from ECS.

hey topcat,

i noticed that you have sub-frame connectors.  is there a passage way for the e-brake cable to go thru?  i couldn't tell from your pics. (btw, are they the xv units?)
