    Well, it's not the weekend, but I'm taking the day off Wednesday and installing a FAST EZ EFI system at a friend's shop.  I decided to get this done before Mopars at the strip to start saving on gas right away.  ;)

    I'll post back how it went...  fingers crossed!

    heading to the garage for yet another night of sanding my grill.  I knew a 71 grill was super cool to look at, but man, this thing is complex to sand by hand.  Lots and lots of shapes.  Still have to fix some cracks too.  No work this next week while I deliberate on what color to paint it (black, body color blue, or stock dark argent) while sitting and soaking up some much needed sun in Jamaica.   :smokin:

    If you decide to paint it back to Argent, don't sand the rough texture completely off. Use a 320 grit.
    Just get the loose stuff off.

    This is what Frank Badalson told me over the phone.

    He sells the correct Argent Paint formula.
    Textured paint sticks better to textured paint. His paint is an Acrylic Laquer. You'll need "fast thinner to reduce."

    Just spray wax & grease remover on it and wipe with a lint free cloth followed by a tack cloth. Then it's ready to shoot.

    well...   I couldn't take it any longer...   Pushed the '56 out and cleaned everything up.  Slid the cuda over and pulled the rear axles. Ordered new ones from mancici.  Going to continue searching for a bad vibe that's been plaguing my resto.  This has been a long time coming... But I'm about to gut the whole thing...  :horse:    Looking forward to it. And re-opening my thread!   :working:   R/T

    Fixed the belt molding on the passenger side door, and I'm finally starting the dash pad replacement project.   :woo:

    Praise God, I finally found the right gasket for my heaterbox, hooked up the jhook and actually finally have the heater where its supposed to be.

    Finding the jhook was the hardest part and I almost cut up a B-body jhook to make one. I'll put that one up for sale on fleabay unless someone
    here wants it.

    Im back to the shop for yet another day of grill repair and sanding.  Every crack has been filled with 2 part adhesive, and is holding.  Today I sand the repair areas smooth and apply filler for yet more repair coverage.  With all the time it takes to do this job, I keep wondering if I should have just bought the new repo grill and just be done with it.  $1100 is a lot of money though.   :faint:

    Once I get my grill done, I am going to pull out the motorcycle for some new goodies.  This week it gets a valve adjustment.  The new tire is here, heated grips are on the way, a new fuel injection programmer is here and ready to install with a new map, and new Ohlins forks and rear shock  :money:  should arrive later this week.  Hopefully I can get this pounded out this week before the weather gets rideable.

    Installed the new 225# composite leaf springs , replaced the mickey mouse plastic oil pressure line with a copper one, then installed my replacement speedometer. The old one I bought off e-bay was out about 20MPH but the odometer was bang on? So the seller gave me a replacement!  :2thumbs: :clapping:
    The roads still have lots of salt on the sides of the road but I couldn't resist and took her for a spin just around the block. Funny I seem to forget how much power it has after not driving it all winter!  :burnout: :aarg:
    Anyone else find that too?
    All in all it was a good day! T-Shirt weather(50F), and sunny!  :woohoo:

    Still working on the dash pad replacement.  I'm nearly ready to start reinstalling it.  Took my time removing and labeling all the fasteners and wiring.  That should make putting it pack together that much easier.  Also had a lot of fussing around with the new dash pad to get all the attachments to fit properly.  Man, I hated cutting away at the foam with a knife.  I had this fear that I was gonna slip and put a cut in the visible portion of the vinyl.

    Just got mine running again, changed camshaft (too lumpy (from po), cleaned & painted front sway bar & replaced sway bar bushings, raised front ride height.  :working:

    Drove car to In Laws for Easter, the best part.......... the drive!
