Randy, thanks for posting the picture of our cars at the Sunbust show on Sunday.  Great show!  Yes, too bad there were not other E-body converts but you would have won  if there had been a dozen. Great car you have there!
Actually I won 2nd with my car by default.  Seems there was confusion on what was stock e-body class.  The purple 71 was the only one registered in stock class.  The orange 71 was in U class or some thing like that.  I initially registered my car as modified because they insist that if displacement has been changed from factory the car is modified.  I substituted a 440 in-place of a 383.  The guys running the show field told me to park in the stock section because my 70 RT is a big block car and is otherwise stock.  I changed the wording on my windshield placard to stock but that probably only confused the voters.  No matter to me because the purple 71 was a great car and deserved first place.
It was nice meeting another CC.Com member.  I have discovered after the fact that edl94 was there in his red 440 with the ghost flames.  Also Dan Huber was there who owns the 440 six-pack FJ5 with a yellow bumble bee stripe.  He came late and did not show it.  Any way, great to meet you and your son.  PK (Skunkworks Challenger)

Sunday 8/17 Mopars Unlimited Sunbust Graham WA
First Place for E Body Convertible.
Not what I was expecting... No other E Body Convertibles entered. Big 2 day show and I expected some tough competition.
Win by default.  :banghead:
Great venue and a lot of nice cars.

Those rims look really good on your car! MUCH better than the originals IMO!  :2thumbs:

I finally got around to testing the gopro camera my kids bought me for christmas last year. It's a hero 3 silver with a remote mic. I think the reason they bought it was so my son could use it on his car. I mounted it to the bottom of the left rear shock and mounted the mic between the exh. tips.

Went for a cruise with some friends. Took a pic at the restaurant when we stopped for supper. I didn't get a very good shot but here it is anyway. 72 Challenger, 74 Challenger, 68 AMX, 67 Mustang fastback, 55 Fargo. We made the Mustang go last  :grinyes:

Had to replace my battery.  Way back when I installed the new battery tray, I did not have the brace that went under the tray.  So today I made the brace.  Worked out well too. I had not realized how heavy that big battery was.

Fixed the horn, replaced the headlight switch (that was fun, and quite an expensive part too!), and got the green sheet inspection done so I can get her titled in my name next week.

Took her for a nice long drive after that. Still too hot here for a car without a/c, but had to do it anyway.

Finaly got my Cuda down off the stilts it's been on for the last 6 months, took her out round the block a couple of times to settle the new bushes, joints and all, Have to try and move the gas tank forward a smidge as the rear valance is banging on it the back corner on a bump, the old gas tank didnt do it, brakes are nice, 2 1/2" Magnaflow with TTI's is actually a little on the quiet side, I fitted magnaflow 6"x 6" straight through round mufflers either side of the gas tank, much like the original setup as I didnt want to draw quick attention to myself but it ended up a little too quiet! although it kinda sounds like a modern tough V8 now has a rumble but not a crackle if that makes sense, I kinda liked it with the old factory shot our mufflers on it.

Those go-pro vids are great. As someone else noted the leaf springs really wrap. Companies who make various traction devices for leaf spring cars should use vids like these.
This weekend I continued fixing things keeping me from driving my car. I need new key tumblers for everything. I got one well worn key with the car that only occasionally would turn the ign switch. No key or lock for trunk etc. am purchasing a nos set for ign, doors, trunk, glove box and console. So while taking apart the upper steering column I cleaned , sanded and painted everything that came off. Steering wheel, crush can, turn sig lever and the housing for the key switch and upper bearing housing. Can't wait for the key components so I can put it back together. All the pieces came out looking really nice, particularly the steering wheel. By the wheel is really heavy!
