The blacked out grill looks very cool! I think I'm going to do the same to my 73. Is that a custom chin spoiler or the TA style? I can't tell, it's in a shadow. I like it!

Thanks for the link! I have ordered and received the front spoiler from Randy. Wow! Awesome quality steel spoiler! Much better than the poly or fiberglass chin spoilers from the aftermarket. Now to respray the grill area with black satin poly from Eastwood...I'll post before and after pics on the site for comments. I'm thinking this will look Bad Ass!

Pulling the rear end chunk for some new gears plus pulling the power steering gear box for a rebuild. After that adding in a O2 sensor for AFR readings!

Pulled the 727 for a rebuild.  While I'm waiting on parts I'll be mounting the big cooler and prepping some cooler lines

I'm changing over to electric fans. I installed march a serpentine belt system last year and it was recommended to use electric fan only. Well, I don't listen very good. I modified the water pump pullly to accept a
clutch fan. It cools great with the clutch fan but the problem I have is the water pump pully does not have enough belt wrap. Only about 25% of the pully makes contact with the belt. At rpm's over 3500 the belt
slips. Without a fan there is no slipping. I'll be driving to Carlisle next week and want to avoid any problems burning up a belt on the way.

Make sure all the electrical add on's   are less than the alternator puts out. I got within 1 1/2 hours from Carlisle when fueling the battery was totally dead. I had to get one at Walmart. Then I wired the fan on a toggle switch so I could shut it off on the hwy        ( most of my 7 1/2 hour trip) and let the battery charge.

Thanks fo the tip Brad! I'll keep a eye on the volt meter and amp gauge. I think I'll be O.K. Max amp draw for the fans is 65 at start up. I have a 110 amp alternator. I have the 2 fans set up to start at different temps so I wont have a big draw all at once.

Very Cool John! Make sure to put everything on there you can before lifting the kmember/motor up in there.

I loved the fact that I could put the plugs, headers, starter, etc in there beforehand - what a time saver.

My Plan is to leave the intake, wiring and accessories off for ease of installation , plus I want to pressure test the cooling system before I put the intake on..

since it was July 4th weekend, I was at work from Weds-Sunday...today is my Saturday.  Cleaned the car and took a pic with my dog.
