since it was July 4th weekend, I was at work from Weds-Sunday...today is my Saturday.  Cleaned the car and took a pic with my dog.

Great pic.     :2thumbs:    Really cool dog.

This past weekend, I learned I'm a grinder not a welder.   Working on a patch panel for the trunk floor.  Weld/grind/repeat.  Had a couple spots where the metal evaporated, so the weld/grind/repeat pattern was extra special.   Learned a lot though.

Spent all day Sunday sanding and tiger-hairing the trillion pits in the bottom of my Challenger. Getting closer to re-epoxying the whole bottom and then I can finish the seam-sealing and then I can either stoneguard or Rhino the bottom, and then....... you get the picture.  :sadwavey:

Yep... Been there... Weld metal, easy to put on, hard to take off. It's all part of the learning process.

Been busy tweaking on the car.  Recurved the distributor, set timing, reworked my 6bbl set up to achieve a good idle.  Now Im changing springs in the outboards to get the best power delivery.  While I'm out doing my test drives, I have been adjusting my shocks front and rear to tune in a good feel.  Getting close on the shocks, but I may need different front alignment set up to tune in my steering.  Just turned over 500miles.

Last Sunday I went to my first show in three years.  I got recognized in my class.  It was a fun day!

This past couple of nights, I did an oil change, "adjusted" the header to have better clearance with the idler arm, tightened TPS cable and reprogramed the transmission, checked air pressures (too low), found a little brake line leak, and a little detail touch up paint to the lower pinch weld.

Im taking the car for a three day weekend starting Friday to Road America in Elkhart Lake, WI for the Vintage Car Races. There will be racing in the day, and the race cars will be driven on the streets into town fri. and sat. evenings.  Sounds like a blast to me!!  I hope my car treats me well.  It will be my first time taking it on a overnight road trip.

That's a hot looking car Jordan and I hope you have a great time at the races. I don't know your location, but they do the same thing every year in Watkins Glen for the vintage F1 weekend. It's NOT just F1 and the street party is epic. Enjoy!

Dorlores paid you a visit I see.

Enjoy the wet weather and time together.

She's heading up my way in the next few days.
