I thought I'd read where you said you'd frenched the m/lamps, but it didn't really click on me until I saw the above photo. That's cool- got any pics of how you went about it?

I believe that I put some on my thread http://www.cuda-challenger.com/cc/index.php?topic=108127.0

It helps if you have old fenders to use the backing plates, if not you have to use the ones you cut out of the fenders you want to do it too. Essentially, you cut out that backing plate, built a fence around it, weld it back in.

That's about what I figured. My problem would be cutting up the new AMD 1/4's as well as the finally scrounged fenders! LOL  Are you going to do all 4? I imagine the finish grinding around the edges to arrive at a nice, smooth line would be fun! A TIG could be a guy's friend there. Nice way to personalize your car! Pls give us some pics when it's painted; I'd love to see it finished.

The hardest part is cutting out the new fender. The hole has to be bigger than what you see because the marker lights are slightly pyramid shaped (fatter at the base). Where the fender begins to roll in is where it needs to be trimmed back slightly. Yes I did all 4 lights because I never liked the marker lights sticking out and they are always the first thing to get broken. I had planned to TIG them in, but ended up using a 110V MIG with .023 wire, it was quicker as I was/am not super good at TIG just yet. That said, it will be cleaned up a lot when I do the body work with a slight amount of filler to make a really crisp line.

Thanks, there are many things like that on this car, I have done a lot of fabrication; point in case check out my high speed semi automatic antenna.

It really is innovative work, did you make the antenna brace for the mechanism ?

Yes, I wanted something that held the antenna securely and looked decent at the same time.

Just fitted some 1.06 bars in my Cuda, the original .9 bars both had a slight bend in them from factory and the drivers bar seemed to be clocked slightly off (one adjuster in more than the other by a long way) and once out confirmed the HEX is out a little.
